Laura is a multidisciplinary artist, who works primarily in photographic media and with watercolor painting. She received her BFA (2018) from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Photography. She is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and splits time between Pittsburgh and Vermont.

In her personal work, she explores the relationships between place, land, and nature of Pennsylvania and the personal connections she has formed there through images, paintings, and poetry. She's interested in the meaning of and relationship to an environment when time has passed and physical distance becomes a barrier. She seeks to define the significance of our emotional connections to a place and how these connections evolve and impact our present.
